Shrek The Musical Charlotte Theatre reviews
Shrek Just Good
In it self I thought it was a fun show but not a show to be compared with a great broadway musical. I thought that the lead of Shrek was just average and I have to wonder if that brought the show down for me (my group agreed). I was disappointed that there was not the clever puns that the movie was so rich in. If you saw the movie you felt like everything was predictable. It was almost like it was a rush to get something out. The second act was definitely better than the first. If you have a passion for broadway musicals you will enjoy just because it is a fun story and you will be able to say you saw it but don't expect Fiddler on the Roof. And for those who say "what did you expect with a musical called 'Shrek?"..... I say "for ticket prices being as expensive as they are you should expect the best".
